Aetna Global Benefits (AGB), which includes the Goodhealth Worldwide business, is committed to delivering world-class benefits solutions and first-class service to exceed the needs of our valued customers and members.

Please note that effective 1 October 2009, premium rates will increase for the International Healthcare Plan (IHP). Although this increase is necessary due to medical inflation, we will continue to monitor and maintain control of rising healthcare costs, where possible. Access to the same high-quality, comprehensive benefits and service will remain in place.

The rate increase for individual plans is as follows:

●      Areas 1, 2 and 3: 9%

●      Areas 4 and 5: 12%

The rate increase for small group plans is as follows:

●      Areas 1 and 3: 9%

●      Area 2: 7%

●      Areas 4 and 5: 12%

In order to assist you in your continued efforts to secure new business, we are pleased to announce various discounts on the IHP group product. This will be effective 1 October for all new group business moving forward. Actual discounts are based on the number of employees in the group. These are as follows:

●      Areas 1, 2 and 3

●      3 - 14 employees: 45%

●      15 - 29 employees: 50%

●      30 - 49 employees: 55%

●      Areas 4 and 5

●      3 - 14 employees: 35%

●      15 - 29 employees: 40%

●      30 - 49 employees: 45%

Please note that both the premium and discount are subject to change upon renewal.

Additionally, we are currently reviewing the existing IHP benefits to identify future opportunities for enhancements that will meet the evolving needs of the marketplace.

This includes a new, refreshed look and feel for our existing materials and communications.
